Al Ameed Coffee Showcases Sustainability at Gulfood 2025 with Innovative Eco-Friendly Exhibition Stand

 

Dubai, UAE – [17/2/2025] – Al Ameed Coffee took a bold step towards sustainability at Gulfood 2025, unveiling an exhibition stand crafted primarily from sustainable materials, including paper core and raw MDF. In a pioneering move, the company partnered with Clear Earth to ensure that all materials used in the stand will be fully recycled and repurposed into useful products after the event. This initiative reflects Al Ameed Coffee’s broader commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. By incorporating eco-friendly materials, the company is actively reducing waste and minimizing its carbon footprint.

“At Al Ameed Coffee, we believe sustainability goes beyond just words—it’s about action,” said Tala Dafesh, CSR & Community Engagement Sr. Manager at Al Ameed Coffee. “By using recyclable materials and collaborating with Clear Earth to repurpose them, we’re ensuring that our participation in Gulfood has a positive and lasting environmental impact.” Through this initiative, Al Ameed Coffee continues to align with sustainability efforts, demonstrating that responsible business practices can go hand in hand with innovation and excellence.

As part of its ongoing environmental efforts, Al Ameed Coffee follows a structured recycling plan for cardboard, plastic, cardamom seeds, coffee waste, and coffee husks, working closely with certified recycling companies to ensure proper processing. Paper and plastic are shredded and exported for repurposing, cardamom seeds are used as natural poultry feed, and coffee waste is transformed into organic fertilizers that contribute to sustainable agriculture. The company has also integrated biodegradable materials into its products and actively participates in environmental initiatives to promote sustainability and reduce waste .Approximately 80-85% of the company's waste is recycled. Additionally, Al Ameed Coffee obtained the ISO 14001:2015 certification, reinforcing their commitment to environmental sustainability.

Furthering its commitment to sustainability, Al Ameed Coffee has established a 400-kilowatt solar power station in Zarqa City, which will provide 60% of the company’s electricity needs, including branches and the HQ building, based on 2024 consumption.


Sustainability drives approximately 90% of Al Ameed Coffee’s CSR and environmental efforts, yet the company remains equally committed to broader initiatives in sports, education, healthcare, and community development.The company’s focus is on fostering meaningful, long-term impact that benefits both society and the environment.
